About
Spencer Hicks is an Oakland-based painter. He holds a BA in literature and cinema from San Francisco State University and began painting seriously in 2018, studying privately with Bay Area urban landscape painter Anthony Holdsworth. In 2025 he completed a residency at the Mt. Gretna School of Art in Pennsylvania. He works as a film projectionist and AV technician at SFMOMA.
